Legislation and other measures
The Final Declarations of the First, Second, Third and Fourth Review Conferences have all included in their Article IV section a request to States Parties to provide information and texts of specific legislation enacted or other measures taken to assure domestic compliance with the Convention. For example, the Final Declaration of the Fourth Review Conference in the Article IV section stated that:
The Conference notes that some States Parties, as requested by the Second Review Conference, have provided to the United Nations Department for Disarmament Affairs information on the texts of specific legislation enacted or other measures taken to assure domestic compliance with the Convention. The Conference invites these States Parties, and encourages all States Parties, to provide such information and texts in the future.
